Problem:

 

An ambulatory surgical center (ASC) in a major metropolitan area sought to revamp its anesthesia department due to recent staffing shortages and a high case cancellation rate, which were causing revenue loss. The high volume ASC selected Xenon Health, a comprehensive anesthesia management organization, over numerous competitors and staffing agencies. Solution:

 

 With two operating rooms, the ASC needed consistent coverage from two board-certified anesthesiologists. Additionally, owners and administrators wanted to perform a thorough screening and conduct a formal interview of any and all potential anesthesiologists.
